One day dedicated to discover the architecture of Palladio, including the buildings in the historic center, the splendid Basilica and the Olympic Theatre ,and if you have the time, visit Villa Capra, also known as La Rotonda, and then discover Tiepolo with a visit to Villa Valmarana ai Nani

OLYMPIC THEATRE - Vicenza
Visit to the theatre - duration 40 min.
The Olympic Theatre,was the last work of Andrea Palladio completed after his death, revises the
structure of the Roman theatre described by Vitruvio. It is the first indoor, brick theatre in the world , with wooden décor, stucco and plaster. Inside you can admire the famous scenes of Vincenzo Scamozzi.

PALAZZO BARBARAN DA PORTO - Vicenza

This building, a luxurious residence built for the noble Vicenza Barbarano Montano, is the only major palazzo in a city that Andrea Palladio achieved to completion. The result was a luxurious residence that allowed the client to present himself in the city as a leading exponent of the cultural elite of Vicenza. Since October 2012, the building has housed the Palladio Museum, the first museum dedicated to the great Andrea Palladio. The story tells the life of the genius,his construction techniques, the history of his patrons and also the scenarios of the sixteenth century.

VILLA ALMERICO CAPRA "LA ROTONDA" - Vicenza
Visit of the Villa - duration 45 minutes
This masterpiece of Palladio is situated on top of a hill, from where the "Riviera Berica" starts. Each façade is adorned with a classical porch that seems to push with centrifugal force towards the surrounding landscape. For its beauty this villa, known as La Rotonda, is the most famous Palladian building in the world.
From April to October:Open on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. Sunday only the outdoor spaces can be visited, while on Wednesday and Saturday both external and internal spaces are open. From November to March: only external spaces.

VILLA VALMARANA AI NANI- Vicenza
Visit of the Villa - duration 60 min.
In 1757 Giambattista Tiepolo and his son Giandomenico decorated the villa and the guesthouse with a cycle of frescoes, considered among the most beautiful in the Veneto. In the villa you can see some classic episodes fromt the Aeneid, the Odyssey, the Gerusalemme Liberata and the Orlando Furioso, while the guesthouse is full of bucolic scenes, contrasting the world of the peasant life to that of the nobles. Visitors arriving by bus must walk 150 meters to reach the entrance of the villa.

VILLA GODI MALINVERNI - Lugo di Vicenza (VI)
Visit villa – duration 60/90 min.
This is recognized as the first villa by Andrea Palladio of 1542, in which the great architect,after his travels to Rome, expresses his spatial concepts ,which are then elaborated giving a classical outcome. Enclosed in the body of the villa is a vast cycle of paintings.
Great artists such as Gianbattista Zelotti, Battista del Moro and Gualtiero Padovano,the first great Venetian landscape painter, have enriched this beautiful home with their frescoes.
An Italian garden and a nineteenth-century romantic park surround the villa on the hill. For the enthusiasts there is a rich collection of fossils, including the Palm Fossil, the longest in the world,9 meters high and complete with roots and foliage.

Palazzo Sturm, housing two museums, the Ceramic and Museo Remondini, dedicated to prints.
